AlphaESS UK at the Energy Storage & Distributed Energy Shows: Key Takeaways
The past few months have been an exciting time for AlphaESS UK, with our team actively participating in the Energy Storage Show and the Distributed Energy Show. These events brought together industry leaders, innovators, and customers to discuss the latest advancements in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and the future of distributed energy solutions.
Both events were a fantastic opportunity to showcase our innovations and strengthen partnerships, from launching new products to discussing market trends and industry challenges.

A Market on the Rise
As a Gold Sponsor, AlphaESS UK had a strong presence at the Energy Storage Show, showcasing our large-scale Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solutions and Utility-Scale battery storage containers. One of the biggest highlights was the soft launch of our new 5MW battery storage container, marking a significant milestone for AlphaESS UK. (More details and visuals to follow!)
The event confirmed that BESS adoption is accelerating across Europe, with Germany, Poland, and the Baltic states leading the way. In fact, our stand attracted more European visitors than UK attendees, reflecting the strong push for renewable energy integration across the continent.

However, one of the biggest challenges highlighted across Europe, in our conversations, was grid connectivity for renewables—a problem familiar to the UK market. Discussions at the event focused on the monetisation of BESS assets, with particular attention to:

New offtake agreements

The future of tolling agreements
Another major focus was safety and regulations, particularly fire risk management and thermal runaway prevention in large-scale BESS projects. With the increasing deployment of grid-scale storage, the industry is developing stricter safety protocols to ensure long-term reliability and compliance, something we wholeheartedly welcome.
AlphaESS products and services are a perfect solution to scale to any energy storage requirements, and we now have project case studies across many parts of the world, including Europe. One example of this is the project with our partner, Green Genius, in Lithuania. Nerijus Virbickas, their Innovation team leader, joined us at the show and presented the project case study. Building Stronger Partnerships
While smaller in scale than Solar & Storage Live, the Distributed Energy Show provided valuable opportunities to engage with key industry players.
