The AlphaESS SMILE-G3 Backup Gateway provides a professionally designed connection between compatible AlphaESS storage, household circuits and the grid. During a grid interruption, it can support an approved backup arrangement based on the connected inverter, available battery capacity and household demand. The single-phase Gateway has a stated maximum input power of 23 kW and maximum input current of 100 A.

Designed for greater energy security

The AlphaESS SMILE-G3 Backup Gateway helps a compatible home energy storage system respond when the grid supply is interrupted. It can support selected essential circuits or a wider household backup arrangement, subject to the installed inverter, battery capacity, electrical configuration and power demand.

An authorised installer will assess which loads to support and design the system to meet the property’s requirements.
