ISSUE 3

We’ve had a busy few months at AlphaESS UK, with exciting developments across the business and the wider industry. In this issue, we’re spotlighting some of the key conversations and challenges shaping the energy sector today, as well as bringing updates from our team and new resources to support our valued partners.

I’m particularly pleased to share two in-depth interviews in this edition, along with breaking news on our Octopus Energy Zero Bills initiative certified product partner status.

First, we speak with Ben Price, co-founder of Heatable, to explore how the company is transforming the renewables sector with a focus on efficiency and customer experience. We also sit down with our very own Ian Plenderleith, Finance Director at Alpha ESS UK, to get his insights on market growth, investment trends, and what’s next for our business.

Elsewhere in this issue, we take a closer look at the ongoing debate around energy price capping, an area of growing importance for both consumers and installers alike. We also reflect on our recent experience at the Energy Storage Summit & Distributed Energy Show, highlighting key takeaways from the events.

We’re also proud to introduce a new library of video resources designed to make life easier for installers. Whether you’re just getting started or want to sharpen your technical know-how. We have the first videos to share with you, with many more coming!

One of the most exciting developments in this issue is our recognition as a Certified Product Partner in the Octopus Energy Zero Bills initiative — a groundbreaking programme redefining what’s possible in sustainable home energy.

The Zero Bills homes initiative allows homeowners to generate and store their own power, removing energy bills entirely for residents. It’s a significant milestone for Octopus Energy, AlphaESS UK, selected homeowners, distributor partners, and the AlphaESS UK Installer Network. By being part of this pioneering model, we’re opening new doors for our technology, supporting decarbonisation targets, and creating high-impact opportunities across the renewable energy supply chain.
