Peak Demand

The StaX M30 and M50 deliver consistent output across peak demand periods. High power ratings ensure your operations never falter when energy is needed most.

Precision capacity as your business grows

Plan capacity around current and future requirements

StaX provides a modular route for configuring commercial battery capacity. The initial design can consider present demand alongside expected changes such as additional solar generation, electric vehicle charging, electrified heating or site expansion.

Future additions must remain compatible with the installed inverter, battery modules, electrical infrastructure and current AlphaESS technical requirements. Grid capacity, protection settings and available installation space may also affect expansion.

Modular equipment designed for commercial installation
The separated inverter and battery arrangement can give project designers greater flexibility around equipment positioning, access and site layout. Installation still requires a suitable base, safe lifting and handling plans, electrical protection, clearances, communications, grid compliance and professional commissioning.
Unified system control
One interface manages multiple stacked units seamlessly. Monitor, optimise and adjust your entire battery array from a single dashboard regardless of total capacity.
Future-proof investment
Your initial installation never becomes obsolete. Expand whenever your business requirements shift, protecting your capital investment and avoiding costly replacements.

Overview of StaX key features

The StaX M29.9 and M50 deliver consistent output across peak demand periods. StaX provides 29.9 kW and 50 kW nominal output options for commercial sites. Available power, duration and system performance depend on the selected configuration, operating conditions and connected loads.

Lithium iron phosphate battery chemistry, battery monitoring and protective system controls contribute to the StaX safety architecture. Product-specific fire protection claims should be published only when supported by the approved UK technical documentation.

Configure compatible battery modules within the approved limits of the selected M29.9 or M50 system. Multi-system arrangements must be confirmed through AlphaESS UK technical design guidance.

Battery management and state-of-charge calibration help maintain consistency across the configured battery system. Performance and battery life depend on operating conditions, system use and maintenance.

Integrated battery heating supports operation in lower-temperature environments. Charging and discharging performance may still be reduced according to battery temperature and state of charge.

AlphaESS BypassTech is designed to isolate an affected module and support continued operation of the remaining compatible system, subject to the nature of the fault and system configuration.

The datasheet states a backup switching time of under 10 ms. Backup performance depends on the complete electrical design, switching arrangement, connected loads, stored energy and commissioning.

StaX equipment is rated IP66, supporting installation in suitable outdoor locations. Siting must still account for foundations, clearances, drainage, temperature, access, fire strategy and maintenance requirements.

INTELLIGENT

Connected monitoring and energy management

AlphaCloud provides connected visibility of compatible StaX systems, helping approved users and project partners monitor energy flows, battery status, system performance and operating information.

Available controls, automation and third-party integrations depend on the selected configuration, user permissions and commissioned energy strategy.

Remote Control
View key system and energy information through the approved AlphaESS monitoring platform.
Configured operating strategies
Manage charging and discharging around approved schedules, site requirements and compatible integrations.

Great System - Great Support
Had an AlphaESS solar, battery, evc system fitted. Works beautifully from day one. Had one support issue so far and was answered within 5 seconds by a human (thanks Jack) who diagnosed and solved the problem in that call, using product knowledge not a sterile script. Highly recommended.

Second to none - 5 Stars
We’ve been installing Alpha ESS systems for the last 12 months and have been really impressed with the products and the support behind them. The systems are straightforward to install, the commissioning process is user-friendly, and the monitoring platform is simple for customers to understand and use. From an installer’s perspective, the technical support has also been excellent whenever we’ve needed assistance...

The Little Guys Matter!
I don't normally leave reviews, but on this occasion I actually asked if I could write one because the support I've received has been exceptional. The level of customer service has been far beyond anything I expected. Every query has been answered promptly, and the team has always been knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely friendly. It's refreshing to deal with a company that takes the time to help and clearly cares about its customers. As someone relying on their support for my inverter and battery system, it's reassuring to know that whenever I've needed assistance, they've been quick to respond with clear, helpful advice.

I am very happy with my battery system
I am very happy with my battery system. The installation was very good and now the house is using much more energy from the solar panels. Before, a lot of energy was going back to the grid but now we can store it and use it in night. The system work very quiet and the app is very good and easy to use even for me. The tech support line has been very helpful when I had question. They answer quick and explain everything with patience. For me it is a very good investment I recommend Alpha ESS to anyone who wants to save energy and use more of their own solar power.

    FAQs
    What is the StaX M29.9/M50?
StaX M29.9/M50 is a modular commercial and industrial battery storage platform. It combines 29.9 kW or 50 kW output options with stackable LFP battery modules, allowing the system to be configured around the site’s demand, solar generation, available space and operating strategy.
    What battery capacity is available?
The current StaX range supports system capacities from 72.3 kWh to 216.9 kWh, depending on the selected inverter and number of compatible battery modules. The final capacity should be determined using the site’s interval data, peak demand, solar generation and intended applications.
Can the StaX system be expanded later?
Its modular design can provide a route for future expansion within approved system limits. Any additional capacity must be compatible with the installed inverter, battery modules, system design and current AlphaESS technical requirements.
Is StaX suitable for outdoor installation?
StaX equipment is rated IP66, supporting installation in suitable outdoor locations. The proposed position must still be assessed for temperature, exposure, drainage, access, clearances, foundations, fire strategy and future maintenance.
    Can StaX provide backup power?
Compatible StaX configurations can support selected backup or microgrid applications. The loads to be supported, required power, expected duration, switching arrangements and available battery capacity must be assessed as part of the complete site design.
Can StaX work with commercial solar PV?
StaX can work with a compatible commercial solar PV system where the equipment, connection and control strategy have been designed together. The solar array, inverter, grid connection and control strategy must be designed as one coordinated system.
How is the correct StaX configuration selected?
AlphaESS UK or an approved commercial energy partner will review the site’s consumption data, peak loads, solar generation, tariff, grid connection, available space and future plans. This information is used to select the appropriate output, battery capacity and operating strategy.
    What warranty is available?
Current product information references a five-year product warranty and a ten-year battery warranty. Coverage, performance conditions and exclusions depend on the installed equipment and current AlphaESS UK warranty terms, which should be reviewed before the system is specified.
